If it were only my husband and I Bonnie would be the happiest dog in Ireland. She’s highly sensitive to noise, smells, movement and people. She is a hunter. Our house is full of visitors, children, doorbells, noise, movement and everything that frazzled poor Bonnie’s nerves. I’m looking for a quieter home for her perhaps with one older calmer dog and very few visitors!
Bonnie can and does snap at strangers if over stimulated / stressed so she is not suitable for a home with children (although she is fine with my 3 most of the time). If you are a couple or living alone that would suit best. That’s the challenging bit.
If you have read this far and are not put off I can tell you she is the smartest most affectionate dog I’ve ever had. She can be left alone in house and if she has had her
Walk is happy to snooze for hours. She is crate trained all night from 8ish til morning and is safe and happy there. She can fetch sit spin paw wait and generally likes to
stay close on walks unless there are small birds and then forget it - she’s gone!! She eager to please and quick to train. I’m Rehoming her because I have family who live abroad and want to come to stay but it is tricky with Bonnie who is unpredictable around strangers not used to her.
So if you think you might like to meet / adopt Bonnie get I touch. She may also be the most beautiful dog you’ve ever seen and if your house is right for her you will have a loyal friend for life. My kids and I would also be open to minding her for your holidays in the future as we love her and know her quirky ways, but I know she will be happier in a quieter home.
